Season Two Schedule Announcement

Park City Joins The Snow League’s Regular Season Roster as Aspen and LAAX Return for Season Two

Season 2 Schedule

NEW YORK, NY – (June 3, 2026) – The Snow League today announced the official calendar for its highly anticipated Season Two, building on the success of its inaugural season with the introduction of a new global event – The Snow League World Challenge – this September in Cardrona, New Zealand.

The 2026–2027 season will feature three regular season Snow League events across North America and Europe, preceded by the World Challenge at Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand, a first-of-its-kind international event which will bring together top athletes from around the world.

Season Two will begin with the inaugural Snow League World Challenge in New Zealand, a global invitation only event designed to celebrate international competition and showcase the league’s top athletes across snowboarding and freeskiing.

The event, proudly supported by the New Zealand Government’s Events Attraction Package, will feature 16 Snow League athletes representing four regions: North America, Europe, Asia / Pacific, and The Challengers – emerging next-generation talent from multiple regions – with each team represented by one male and female snowboarder, alongside one male and female freeski athlete.

This first-ever, team-based format highlights the global depth of snowboarding and freeskiing while creating a new competitive dynamic separate from the league’s individual season standings.

“I am excited that New Zealand will host the inaugural Snow League World Challenge at Cardrona,” said Tourism and Hospitality Minister Louise Upston. “What a treat for Kiwis to see the world’s top snow sport athletes in action.”

Following the World Challenge, the Snow League will return to Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass, a cornerstone venue for the league and now entering its third consecutive winter season as host, on January 7-9. Competition then moves to Park City Mountain, which joins the schedule as a new host location on January 21-23. Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States and Utah 2034 Winter Olympic venue, will debut an upgraded 22-foot halfpipe for the competition, setting a new standard for progression over the traditional 18-foot build. It’s the first time a halfpipe of that size will exist at Park City Mountain since the 2019 FIS World Championships.

The season will once again culminate in LAAX, Switzerland on March 11-13, where the 2027 Snow League World Champions will be crowned.

Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, The Snow League has quickly established itself as a premier global platform for snowboarding and freeskiing. Its head-to-head format, season-long standings, athlete-first approach, and emphasis on progression and performance have reimagined competitive halfpipe events.

“Season One set the foundation,” said White. “With Season Two, we’re expanding and creating new ways for athletes to compete and for fans to engage. From launching The Snow League World Challenge to returning to some of the most iconic venues in the sport, fans should be really excited for what’s in store for Season Two.”

As part of its continued evolution, The Snow League will expand its freeski field for Season Two, increasing the number of competing athletes from 16 to 24. The deeper roster will elevate the level of competition across each event, enabling more head-to-head matchups and showcasing the next generation of elite freeski athletes. With the expanded field, freeskiers will now compete across all phases of competition, including qualifying rounds, creating a more integrated and consistent event format throughout the weekend.

Season Two will also introduce an evolved three-day competition format featuring both snowboard and freeski competition each day. Day One will focus on qualifying rounds, followed by quarterfinal competition on Day Two, and culminating with semifinals and Finals on Day Three. By integrating snowboard and freeski competition across all three days, the new format delivers a more consistent competition experience for fans and athletes.

Each event on the Season Two calendar will feature the world’s best snowboarders and freeski athletes competing for points toward the overall championship. The Snow League crowned its first-ever World Champions, snowboarders Sena Tomita and Yuto Totsuka, and freeskiers Eileen Gu and Luke Harrold, in LAAX, Switzerland this past March.

“Season Two represents an exciting next step for The Snow League as we continue to expand our global footprint and build on the momentum of our inaugural season,” said Omer Atesmen, CEO of The Snow League. “We’re proud to add Park City Mountain to the calendar, bringing The Snow League to one of the most iconic winter sports destinations in the world. Alongside our return to Aspen and LAAX, the introduction of the inaugural Snow League World Challenge in New Zealand gives us the opportunity to create a first-of-its-kind event which brings together athletes from four regions in a unique international team format.  Together, these events reflect our commitment to delivering world-class competition while continuing to grow the sports and the league around the world.”

With a growing international broadcast footprint and distribution across more than 175 countries, The Snow League continues to bring elite winter sports competition to a global audience, combining high-performance sport with immersive storytelling and fan-first experiences. Additional details about performances, athletes, on-mountain experiences, and town-wide programming will be announced in the coming months. Tickets for all events will go on sale at a later date.
