Season One champion Eileen Gu (CHN) finished The Snow League’s inaugural season undefeated, winning every one of her head-to-head matchups and establishing herself as the athlete to beat heading into Season Two.
Her victory at the final Snow League event in LAAX, Switzerland came just weeks after she successfully defended her Olympic halfpipe gold medal on February 22. Despite an exhausting season-long stretch of competition, Gu returned to the halfpipe in perfect form on March 20 and picked up right where she left off, winning all three of her matchups, posting the highest score of the season across snowboarding and freeskiing with a 95.25, and securing the inaugural Snow League Championship title.

At the close of competition, Gu reflected on the effort and commitment behind her run of success.
“This is what I love to do most in the world. I don’t want a vacation from this. This is all I want to be doing. I’m happy that the Snow League reminded me of that.”
Looking ahead, Gu was already excited to return. Her parting words? “I love competing, I can’t wait for next year.”
Now, Season Two is on the horizon, with The Snow League expanding its freeski field across all three events in Aspen, Park City and LAAX. The women’s field grows to 10 athletes, bringing an even deeper lineup of talent.

Eileen will again face the 2026 Olympic podium, including countrywoman Fanghui Li and Great Britain’s Zoe Atkin, as well as Kexin Zhang (CHN), who finished second in China during Season One.
The competition will be tougher this season, but you get the sense that the only athlete Gu is focused on competing against is herself.
She hasn’t spent the off-season resting on her laurels. Gu has been training at Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand, home of the Cardrona halfpipe and the venue for The Snow League World Challenge, continuing to push her riding ahead of the new season.
It’s an approach that reflects her own mantra: “I train like I’ve never won and I compete like I’ve never lost.”
All eyes will be on Gu when Season Two kicks off in Aspen, January 7–9, as freeskiing makes its Snow League debut at the venue. After a perfect 6–0 run in Season One, the question is simple: Can anyone stop Eileen Gu?
