The Snow League Season One Event Details:

The Snow League, the first professional winter sports league dedicated exclusively to snowboarding and freeskiing, founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist and entrepreneur Shaun White, is back and going global. Building on the success at the inaugural event in Aspen Snowmass in March 2025, The Snow League now powers ahead with three remaining events across Asia, North America, and Europe. Showcasing the world’s best halfpipe competition in an exciting head-to-head format, The Snow League brings together elite-level snowboarders and freeskiers from 11 countries—including 34 Olympians with 12 Olympic medals—for athlete-first competition and unforgettable fan experiences.

December 4-6, 2025 – Yunding Snow Park, China

Three full days of freeski and snowboard halfpipe competition kick off the global leg of The Snow League at Yunding Snow Park. Olympic gold medalist Eileen Gu headlines the 16 freeskiers making their League debut, while the elite snowboard field returns following Aspen to test whether the current Snow League World Championship standings will hold—or if a shakeup is on the horizon. Yunding Snow Park will be rolling out the red carpet, welcoming celebrities and influencers, with live music and fans igniting the atmosphere.

February 27–28, 2026 — Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, USA

Snowboarding takes center stage at Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass, giving fans their first chance to see the world’s best athletes in action fresh off the 2026 Winter Olympics. As the penultimate event of the season, this two-day showdown will be critical in shaping the overall standings, with athletes battling for valuable Snow League points in the same legendary halfpipe where the League first launched. Expect a star-studded crowd and exciting musical acts to keep the energy soaring throughout the competition.

March 19–21, 2026 — LAAX, Switzerland

Season One of The Snow League culminates at LAAX, one of the most iconic and storied venues in winter sports, with three days of freeski and snowboard halfpipe competition. Every run will count as athletes battle for the podium, prize money, and a place in history—competing in front of one of the most electric crowds of the season. Experience the finale of Season One where The Snow League World Champions will be crowned, and the unmatched energy and party atmosphere that only LAAX can deliver reaches its peak. 

What is The Snow League:

Launched in June 2024, The Snow League is the first professional winter sports league dedicated to snowboarding and freeskiing. Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist and entrepreneur Shaun White, Season One features a four-event global format boasting a $2.2 million season purse, with athletes competing to earn points to determine the overall champions. The season kicked off at Buttermilk in Aspen Snowmass (March 7–8, 2025), heading next to Yunding Snow Park, China (Dec. 4–6, 2025), where 16 of the world’s top freeskiers will join the roster at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games venue. The League returns to Aspen (Feb. 27–28, 2026) and concludes at LAAX, Switzerland (March 19–21, 2026), where the first-ever Snow League World Champions will be crowned.

Who Will be Competing:

Leading the 36-athlete snowboarding field are current Snow League points leaders Sena Tomita (JPN) and Yuto Totsuka (JPN), alongside Olympic Champion Ayumu Hirano (JPN), Maddie Mastro (USA), and Ruka Hirano (JPN). The 16-athlete freeski roster features Olympic champions Eileen Gu (CHN), Cassie Sharpe (CAN), and David Wise (USA), as well as Olympic medalists Nick Goepper (USA), Rachael Karker (CAN), and Gus Kenworthy (GBR), making for a stacked lineup across both disciplines.
