New World Record – Kaishu Hirano

It’s official: Kaishu Hirano is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest snowboard air in a halfpipe

Kaishu Hirano

Kaishu Hirano’s massive Season One performance with The Snow League has officially landed him in the Guinness World Record books for the highest snowboard air in a halfpipe, with a height of 7.72 meters (25 feet, 4 inches).

Hirano launched the record-setting backside air off the first hit of the halfpipe at LAAX, Switzerland, on March 19, 2026, during Event four of The Snow League in the LCQ round of qualifying.

Hirano bettered his previously reached height of 7.68 meters (25 feet, 2 inches) set at The Snow League in Aspen Snowmass.

His new 7.72-meter world record halfpipe air was officially recognized as the Guinness World Record in a ceremony in Japan on October 1 where Hirano was presented with a framed certificate of his new World Record.

Look for Hirano to continue bringing crowds to their feet in Season Two. After earning the Jeep® Biggest Air Badge at both Aspen and LAAX, he’s already set the bar high for another season of massive airs.
