Sara Shimizu

At just 16 years old, Sara Shimizu followed her fourth place finish at her Olympic debut in Italy with a first place finish at her Snow League debut in Aspen. The young athlete has long displayed competitive composure beyond her years; in only her second World Cup in 2024 at Copper, Colorado, Sara showed no sign of competition jitters as she laced run after run to take the win. She showed that same stoic determination at Event Three in Aspen, where she dominated as the top qualifier, and won all three head-to-head competitions on finals day to decisively take her inaugural Snow League win.
