Olympic gold medalist Gaon Choi represents the next generation of women’s halfpipe. Her breakout 2026 season began at The Snow League, where she posted the highest score of the opening event in Aspen with a 93.75 and followed it with another event-best score in China. She carried that momentum to the Olympic stage, overcoming injury to deliver a gold medal-winning run built on massive amplitude and spins in all four directions.
Winning has become second nature for Choi. At just 14 years old, she captured X Games gold and claimed her first World Cup victory in her debut season. Developed through the Mammoth Mountain Snowboard Team and mentored by two-time Olympic champion Chloe Kim, Gaon has quickly emerged as the one to beat.
