Mischa Thomas is one of New Zealand’s brightest young freeski talents, bringing a mix of progression and infectious energy in her approach to competition. She earned a spot on the New Zealand Development Team in 2022 and quickly made her mark, winning silver in slopestyle at the 2023 Junior World Championships. She followed with European Cup titles in both halfpipe and slopestyle in 2025, showcasing her versatility across disciplines.
Thomas made her Olympic debut in 2026, advancing to finals and finishing eighth before making her Snow League debut at LAAX, where she finished fourth against the world’s best. She carried that momentum through the end of the season, earning her first World Cup podium with a second-place finish.
