Ruka Hirano continues to hold his own among Japan’s powerhouse halfpipe roster, combining consistency, technical mastery, and a deep passion for the sport. The two-time Olympian made an immediate impact in The Snow League, finishing second at the opening event in Aspen after an epic final showdown with Yuto Totsuka, before ending Season One ranked third overall.

At the center of Hirano’s trick arsenal is his Cab triple cork 1440 Indy, which he first unleashed in Aspen before raising the bar again at the 2026 Olympics, where he landed back-to-back triple cork 1440s en route to a fourth-place finish.

The 2020 Youth Olympic Champion is also a two-time Crystal Globe winner with double-digit World Cup podiums and an X Games bronze medal, cementing his status as one of the sport’s elite competitors.
