At the discipline’s premiere in China, the 17-year-old finished second after an incredible third-run tiebreaker final against veteran Brendan MacKay. He entered the final event at LAAX determined to win, defeating MacKay in another dramatic final-round showdown to claim the Season One win

The Kiwi first made waves in 2024 at just 15 years old, becoming the youngest New Zealand freeskier to earn a World Cup podium in his debut. Harrold continued his rise at the 2024 Youth Olympic Winter Games, where he landed the first-ever triple cork spin in freeski halfpipe competition.
