At just 16 years old, Season One wildcard Sara Shimizu climbed from the bottom of the rankings to finish second overall in the Snow League standings. She announced herself at Event Three in Aspen, where she took the win delivering run after run under pressure, earning the event’s top scores and the top step of the podium.
She carried that same determination into the season finale at LAAX, once again qualifying first and leading the field through the semifinals, where the event winners were decided. Shimizu displays composure and technicality beyond her years, unyielding in her head-to-head battles proving herself a major force heading into Season Two.
Her 2026 season highlights also included a fourth-place finish in her Olympic debut in Italy.
