Following a dramatic Olympic showcase in Italy, 32 of the world’s best halfpipe snowboarders return to Buttermilk this weekend to continue the battle for the inaugural Snow League title

ASPEN, CO – (February 26, 2026) – The Snow League unveiled the world championship trophy designed by Tiffany & Co. at the Athlete Draw at the Viceroy Hotel in Aspen today. The trophy was created for the league’s inaugural championship season and represents a new era for winter sports – one that elevates trophy design to match the caliber and legacy of its world-class athletes, and celebrates the excellence of elite freeski and snowboard halfpipe competition.
The Snow League saw an opportunity to take a different approach from traditional action sports awards. The league set out to create a beautifully crafted trophy dedicated to winter sports at a high-level, worthy of its world-class athletes’ achievements. The trophy was crafted using precious metal materials and features a more traditional award presentation format, reinforcing their role as enduring symbols of excellence.
“From the beginning, we wanted to raise the bar for what a championship in winter sports could look like. Partnering with Tiffany & Co. to create a luxury trophy brings a sense of permanence, prestige and history that our sports have been deserving of for so long,” says White, Founder of The Snow League. “These are world-class athletes performing at the highest level, and it felt important that the trophy reflect that same level of excellence, craftsmanship and greatness.”
Presented annually to the men’s and women’s world champions of the freeski and snowboard halfpipe finals – and any future Snow League championship events – the sterling silver and 24k vermeil trophy stands approximately 14.25 inches tall and weighs 13 pounds. Designed to evolve over time, it will grow with the addition of rings as new champions are crowned, cementing athletes into the history of snowboarding and freeskiing with their names etched onto it, building a legacy year after year. The piece was handcrafted over roughly 30 weeks at the Tiffany hollowware workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island using a blend of traditional silversmithing and advanced fabrication techniques.
The design reflects the movement and precision of halfpipe competition: contemporary, organic lines inspired by tricks and aerials, with the top of the trophy supported by four intersecting pillars that echo The Snow League’s brand language and form the shape of a halfpipe.
Snowboarding and freeskiing have traditionally been viewed as two unique cultures, each with their own competitive path. This trophy represents The Snow League’s vision of bringing them together under one shared championship platform, ushering in a new future for both sports.
Event Three at Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass this weekend will feature the world’s top snowboarders competing at the highest level, alongside immersive fan experiences and live entertainment, reinforcing The Snow League’s mission to elevate winter sports culture on a global stage.
