World-class Halfpipe Snowboarding and Freeskiing Take Center Stage in Utah on January 22–24, 2027, as The Snow League Continues Global Expansion

The Snow League’s Park City Season Two announcement came alive on snow as Maddie Mastro, Ryan Wachendorfer, Hunter Hess, and Nick Goepper threw down on a custom-built transition feature alongside rising talent from the Park City Ski & Snowboard Club.
This announcement marks the return of elite halfpipe competition to Park City with the Season Two event set for January 22-24, 2027.
The halfpipe legacy at Park City Mountain Resort goes deep. The resort served as the home of one of the first 22-foot halfpipes in North America and the venue for the SLC 2002 Winter Olympics. The halfpipe played host to iconic moments, including the U.S. men’s snowboard podium sweep by Ross Powers, Danny Kass, and JJ Thomas, as well as Kelly Clark’s gold medal performance.
The venue also holds deep personal significance for Snow League founder Shaun White, a former Park City “All-Star” who trained at the nearby U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Center and landed the first-ever double McTwist 1260 in the Park City halfpipe. It was here that he earned his spot on the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic team, later debuting the groundbreaking trick on the Olympic stage to secure his second gold medal.

“This is an epicenter for sport and Olympic greats, and we’re so proud to be coming back here,” said White. “For me, coming back to Park City feels like a homecoming.”
The 22-foot halfpipe was last constructed in Park City for the 2019 World Championships, with the resort maintaining an 18-foot halfpipe in the years since. The Snow League’s investment will restore the 22-foot Olympic standard.
“This halfpipe is going to be a platform for progression, training, development, and competition, from the next generation all the way to the world’s best,” said Snow League COO Ian Warda. “This isn’t just about one weekend or even one season. This is about the future of winter sports—we’re here to stay.”
Beyond competition, the event arrives at a pivotal moment for Park City, helping fill the cultural and economic void left by the departure of the Sundance Film Festival. Following Season One events in Aspen, China, and LAAX, The Snow League continues to establish itself as a destination event blending world-class sport with culture, nightlife, and fan experiences on and off the snow.
Mark your calendars for January 22–24, 2027, in Park City, Utah. Ticketing information will be announced soon.
