Kexin Zhang has been a consistent force on the freeski halfpipe World Cup circuit since 2017, amassing 12 podium finishes, including four victories. She delivered strong performances at both the PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, earning top-ten finishes at each Games.
At Event Two of The Snow League, Zhang battled through two rounds to meet Eileen Gu in the finals, finishing second to complete a Chinese women’s podium sweep alongside Fanghui Li.
Hailing from Harbin in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province—a region that has produced 13 of China’s 22 Winter Olympic gold medals—Zhang represents the next generation of elite Chinese freeskiers. She is part of a formidable national team that includes Gu and Xuetong Cai, continuing China’s rise as a global powerhouse in freeskiing.
