Cassie Sharpe cemented her place in freeski history at PyeongChang 2018, dominating the women’s halfpipe to win Canada’s first Olympic gold in the event. She backed it up with silver at Beijing 2022 further cementing her legacy.
Following the Olympics, Sharpe took time off of competition to start a family. In 2024 she realized she still had more to prove. With her daughter in tow, she wasted no time landing back on the podium. She earned her first post-partum podium at the 2024 Copper Mountain World Cup taking third, then one year later soared 12 feet out of the halfpipe at Aspen Snowmass to reclaim X Games gold with her baby daughter waiting at the bottom. She capped off the 2025 season with another podium at the World Championships.
Sharpe is a fierce competitor displaying that motherhood and world-class athleticism can go hand in hand.
