Biography

Cam Melville Ives is at the forefront of halfpipe progression as one of the few athletes putting down two triple cork 1440s in a single run. Cam goes for absolute broke with every run—he’s been climbing the ranks, finishing sixth in China and just off the podium in fourth at Event Three. A member of the New Zealand National Development Team since 2018, Melville Ives first gained international recognition with a bronze medal at the 2019 U.S. Open Junior Jam. He continued his ascent on the world stage, most recently accelerating it at the 2026 Laax Open, where he earned his first World Cup podium finishing in second and then following with his Olympic debut in Livigno, where he advanced to finals. His style and presence have earned him the nickname “Swag Lord” from halfpipe legend Danny Davis.

Cam Melville Ives finished in 12th place at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
